Fair value or not, how do they Patriots rationalize turning down the 12th overall pick from Denver? I have tried to come up with a reason for it, and I just can’t. I don’t but the argument that you save cap money because the Chief’s were willing to take Vrabel’s salary. If you really wanted to dump him, someone would have given you a low round pick for Vrabel. He is still a valuable player. Nothing about this deal makes sense.

i think belichick didnt want josh mcdaniels to have a power house team he got enough patriot players let him find and groom his own players but i still feel we could have gotten a little more bang for our buck so to speak maybe 2 2nd round picks 09 10 or even some later round picks at least a couple but bill has never let us down and he tends to come out on top with his method to his maddness approach i think we will see and once again dub him the genius he has proven himself time and time again go pats

If it looks like a rat, and smells like a rat… then it is a rat. I have not looking into the trade all all but it does not sound right to me. How is that only worth a 2nd rounder?!?!?!
