The NFL picks are coming soon but since College Football kicks off this Thursday here are your conference champions –

ACC Atlantic — Clemson

The league is as down as ever and as much as it pains me to pick the Tigers, they have the most talent in this weak weak division

ACC Coastal — Virginia Tech

The best team in a bad conference. Frank Beamer is one of the top 10 coaches in all of College Football there is no way he is losing more then 2 games in conference.

ACC Champion — Virginia Tech

Big East — West Virginia

I’m not sold on Bill Stewart but I am sold on Pat White and Noel Devine

Big Ten — Ohio State

Year in and year out the most overrated league in the country — it’s a name league — Penn State, Michigan, Ohio State are sexy college football names — none would finish third in the SEC East or the Pac Ten.

Big 12 North – Missouri

Love Chase Daniels. He’s a winner and a fun guy to root for.

Big 12 South — Texas Tech

I never buy into the Red Raiders hype but this year I am. The schedule is easy and this is the year for Tech to go to the BCS

Big 12 Champion — Texas Tech

Lubbock will burn if this comes true.

Pac Ten — Southern Cal

They are just too good. Whoever starts at QB, Sanchez or Mustain, is better then anyone else in the league.

SEC East — South Carolina

Google “brutal schedule” and Georgia comes up. Plus the ‘ole Ball Coach knows something about his team that no one else does.

SEC West – Auburn

I was tempted to pick Alabama but the Tigers lay low every year and win 9 games — this is the year they upset the conference.

SEC Champion — South Carolina

Spurrier is still the best coach in the conference and he shows it this year.

   Please be a little more sensible in your SEC pics. There is NO WAY the real SC, South Carolina that is, has any chance of taking the SEC crown from the likes of UT, UF or UGA. Just you wait till UGA VII walks his way into Williams Brice and ends this cock fight once and for all.

   I agree with (who I am assuming is your brother) above. With 5 minutes left in the 3rd right now the Gamecocks are not looking very impressive against a terrible O’Brien offense with its backup qb.

   I do love the Big Ten hate though, especially when THE Ohio State University will make it to Miami in January 2009 for its third straight championship game. And although the Big Ten from top to bottom is not as good as the SEC or Pac-10 our top teams could handle themselves week in, week out in those conferences. And our best teams this year, aside from Ohio State, are Wisconsin and Illinois…maybe Penn State. Somehow Michigan is ranked but they are going to be terrible for at least a year or two.
