Friday night Harvard opens the season at home vs. the Crusaders of Holy Cross. I will be a guest at a tailgate hosted by the 6th string QB from the 2002 team – I’m very excited. Friday night football is very cool, especially when there is a chill in the air – temps could dip into the 40′s. I’m pumped and jacked. There are 3 big games for High School Football fans this weekend that my friend Ralph (Mass HS Football Expert) has sent my way. Brandon Merriweather

Last year we got to see the development of Brandon Merriweather as the season went on. The boys on The Big Show didn’t think he could play after the first few weeks, but he got more and more playing time and when January rolled around he was playing meaningful minutes. The problem was, he couldn’t catch crabs from Paris Hilton. That seems to have changed this season as he already has one pick. Look for this kid to grow into the Pats best member of the secondary…Sorry Holley, he is already better the Ellis Hobbs.

Boys Will Be Boys

Jeff Pearlman’s new book, “Boys Will Be Boys”has arrived and I can’t wait to get into it. It’s all the crazy stories from the Cowboys dynasty of the 90′s. Stuff you won’t believe. Chach has already read it and told me that I have to start with the chapter on Charles Haley. I’ll leave it at that or Bradford and Tim Murphy will revoke my blogging privileges.

The Manning Brothers

Did they pull a switch-a-roo on us?? Watching the last 2 weeks, Peyton looks like Eli circa 2006 and Eli looks like Peyton from that same year. I know the Colts have injury problems but since February of last year, I’m not too sure who the best Manning brother is…aside from Cooper of course. What will this weekend bring???
